Course Description
Year 3-6
InstaMind Education offers Maths and English tutoring programs for primary school students from Year 3 to 6. These programs cover all the components of literacy and numeracy outlined by the Australian National Curriculum. Lesson planning is an important component of teaching for this age group. Our lesson plan for this age group is highly differential and inclusive to cater for each student according to their capabilities and learning goals.
This program focuses on developing a solid foundation in numeracy and literacy, which helps students excel in exams like NAPLAN, PEAC and GATE/ASET. Besides our regular teaching program, we offer individual and small group classes for the students preparing for NAPLAN, PEAC and GATE/ASET exams.
Maths Program
Our Maths program for primary school students fosters a strong foundation of mathematical concepts in number and algebra, measurement and geometry, statistics and probability. Our objective is to develop proficiency in mathematical understanding, fluency, reasoning, and problem-solving skills. This program's particular focus is to develop a high proficiency with reasoning and problem-solving skills in mathematics, which helps students excel in selective school exams. Our focus is to create an efficient, effective and positive learning environment that make Math fun, engaging and achievable.
English Program
Our English program for primary school students aims to foster three interrelated strands of language, literature and literacy.
To develop the language strand for this age group, the focus is on developing a sophisticated understanding of grammar, punctuations, sentence structures and vocabulary. Students are exposed to finely structured literary texts through reading and more extensive discussions about them to develop the literacy strand. Students are provided with opportunities to explore and analyse various literacy text forms like poetry, prose, plays and narrative. To foster the literature strand, students are taught to write the different text types such as persuasive, narrative, poetry and report in a structured way. For this age group, special attention is to develop creative writing skills.
Students are encouraged to develop the skills for "learning to read" and "reading to learn", which helps students build vocabulary, provide ideas for creative writing and excel in reading comprehension.
